Navy Yard Associates together with our international associates can provide on site inspection and evaluation of a yacht under consideration for purchase. The yacht will be inspected and a detail report on the general condition will be provided. This is not a survey but we will obtain references and make a recommendation on a marine surveyor.

Through personal experience and with our overseas colleagues, we can also advise on desirable cruising areas and make recommendations on Marinas.

NYA can assist in finding a qualified marine surveyor in your region prior to your investment in a new yacht.

We anticipate having our own team of Surveyors in the near future.

If your yacht is within a reasonable drive from Boston, and you are an absentee owner, NYA can arrange to check your boat on a regular basis. This can include checking the bilge, running the engine to charge the batteries, etc. Many marinas no longer offer this service. Contact us for more information and you will find our fees are reasonable.
